Dealing in all medical, surgical, gynecological, trauma and orthopedic emergencies including heart attacks, drowning, road traffic accident, fractures and dislocations. The casualty is well equipped with the latest equipments.

Private Rooms
The private rooms are for single occupancy. They are spacious and en-suite with bathtubs and shower. All rooms have split air conditioners, bedside nurse call system and newly upgraded digital satellite TV, DVD, a private balcony overlooking the lush green Leisure Golf Course. Each room has a well-stocked mini bar, phone and provision for Internet browsing.

High Dependency Ward
The HDU serves to stabilize critical patients without need for unnecessary time delays in transferring them to Mombasa. It has the latest state-of-the-art equipments like HP Cardiac Monitor, Schiller First Responder Electronic Defibrillator (FRED), Drager Ventilator, Cardiofax ECG, bedside piped Oxygen supply, Pulse Oximeter, and suction facilities. The HDU has to its credit saved many lives since its inception. The hospital performed its first successful Thrombolysis of a 36-year old German patient with a heart attack without even shifting the patient to Mombasa!

General Wards
There are separate male and female general wards, each with seven beds, shower and toilet. Each bed has its own wall fan, bedside nurse call button, reading light and a common TV with satellite connections.

Executive Medical check-up
This facility offered by Diani Beach Hospital is a comprehensive check-up that screens each organ closely. The aim of this is to detect even the smallest abnormality that could be an indication of a major disease. Where needed appropriate treatment can be begun without further delays.

Food Handlers Check
Diani Beach Hospital offers food handlers' check facility for all people handling food in the hotels and cottages. These are mandatory tests, which include screening of stool, urine and blood.

Domestic Staff Check-ups
We provide this facility for domestic staff before and during employment to make sure that they are free from communicable diseases.

X-ray Facilities
Like all other departments it is open 24 hours a day, we do all common orthopedic X-rays, chest X-rays, and abdominal X-rays. Patients have no longer to be taken with broken bones all the way to hospitals in Mombasa, 45Kms away across the ferry! The X-Ray department is about to be upgraded with a new X-Ray machine from SIEMENS POLYSCOP 2 with HELIOPHOS D complete with a tilt table and capable of giving high-resolution roentgenograms. The department is in the final stage of acquiring an Ultrasound machine for sonograms.

Pharmacy
We have a well-stocked pharmacy with most branded and generic medicines on shelf. They are sold at recommended retail prices. The Pharmacy is open 24 hours a day.

Ambulance Services
A well equipped ambulance with trained staff available 24 hours for emergency evacuation to Diani Beach Hospital or hospitals in Mombasa. The ambulance has a portable HP-cardiac Monitor and pulse oximeter, oxygen supply and suction-machine. The ambulance can be fitted with Defibrillator and Portable Ventilator, when needed.

Diani Beach Hospital laboratory boasts of having the most modern equipment like Act-Diff Coulter (Automated Blood cell analyzer), Humanizer 2000 (for Biochemistry), CO-AG 2000, QBC Auto reader (for diagnosis of Malaria), Statfax ELISA (Thyroid screen, Hepatitis screen, cancer antigens screen, infertility screen, HIV AIDS) etc. We perform EXECUTIVE MEDICAL CHECK-UPS, WELL-WOMAN & WELL-MAN CHECKS, ANTENATAL SCREEN, FOOD HANDLERS' TEST and PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL CHECK-UPS.

Minor Theatre
Dealing in all minor emergencies like road accidents related injuries, suturing of wounds, Incision and drainage of abscesses, dressing of wounds and application of dynacast. All instruments and surgical materials used are autoclaved and 100% sterile - with zero risk of HIV infection.

Major Theatre
Fully equipped with operation table, anesthetic machines, Cardiac monitor, diathermy and electro-cautery. The theater caters to emergency and elective surgical procedures like appendicectomies, hernia repairs, Hydrocele, among many others. Well-qualified surgeons and anesthetists on our panel of consultants from Mombasa are available round the clock for conducting these surgeries.

Maternity and Well Baby Clinic
The hospital conducts an antenatal clinic and well-baby clinic every Wednesday. Expectant mothers attend the clinic for regular checks and vaccinations. Deliveries are conducted by the doctors and experienced midwives.
The well-baby clinic takes care of vaccinations of the babies in accordance with the Expanded Program of Immunization of W.H.O.

Physiotherapy
The hospital is into the final phase of setting up a State-of-the-Art Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department. Sonopuls ultrasound stimulator, Endomed electrotherapy unit, TENS, Curapuls short wave diathermy, electric traction unit, and various exercise equipments, all from Enraf Nonius, are some of the hallmarks of this department to take care of the most common musculoskeletal ailments. Qualified physiotherapists will be running the department between 9 AM to 6 PM daily, Sundays included.

Dental Department
The hospital is gearing up to establish a new dental department soon. The dental department will be manned by a qualified dentist. Some of the procedures that can be performed here include scaling, filling of cavities, tooth extraction, braces, RCTs, and implantology. At a later date aesthetic and restorative dentistry will be value additions to the department.
